Reef Angels

Hey all

Ive been reading up on different dwarf angels to add to my 65g,Ive got softies, mushrooms and some sps,so I really want to make sure I go about adding the right one....

I kept a Juvinile Emporatis for about 10 months, but suspected some nibbling on my sarcophiton,so I had to sell him:(

Any past links on this subject would be welcome....;)

Ive broken it down to either a Flame,Coral Beauty or a Flameback...Anything else I should consider?

I dont plan on adding to many other fishes aside for a Yellow Tang,Maroon Clown,Neon Goby,Royal Gramma(all in QT)....:D

Lemonpeel and Bicolor look awesome as well I think those two always catch my eye when at the LFS. They are so much better looking in person then in photos online, but I think with any dwarf angel it is just a crap shoot on if they nibble or not. The other day my LFS had a Rusty Angel which I almost bought. Very cool looking.

Lemonpeel and bicolor are both known to be more likely to pick at corals than other pygmys. I had no trouble with my flame angel in my mixed reef, but I would go with a flameback, if I were you.

I like coral beauty, but they are not popular likely due to being very very common. You dont often hear of them being very mean or picking at corals

cheers.

Yellowtailed Pygmy or Fisher's would be great choices. Both stay small and from my experience, perfectly reefsafe. (LPS, Softies, 'Shrooms, Zoas, Gorgonians, etc.)

Thanks guys:cool:

Im abit againsts Bi-colors myself only because my brothers tried two and both didnt last...:(

My LFS has a Golden Angel, but way too expensive...over $100...

They have a couple of Flames and are keeping them together with zoo's,polyps and mushrooms..looks like my best bet at the moment.....:)

Love the Flame, its been my favourite fish since I saw them on a dive in the Red Sea 4 years ago...

I have a Coral Beauty in my 29G and I love it, has very deep vibrant colors and is a model citizen. I would have gone with a Flame angel though if it was the price of a CB. Both would be good choices IMO.

i got a flame angel in my 75 i have lps/sps and some zoa's not a single problem he seems to peck at alot of stuff (even live rock, snails, etc) but never eats the stuff.... or no signs of it
