Reef Aquarium 1350 gallons in Bucharest

According to my 2 Canadian cents it matches :) I like how you mirrored the tank design in the bedroom closets/cabinets. These kind of details make it a masterpiece.

Give me the first chance to buy the apartment when you get bored and have to move again :)

Shawn, thank you so much for all your support! I will come back in the next few days with details.

About the apartment, please let me at least finish the tank and after we negotiate.
In the last six years I moved five times allready, I don't know if Gabriela will agree :uzi: She will say I only want to move to make a bigger tank :bounce3:

Andy the canopy is incredible. Very well done. Now that you have the heat and humidity captured in the canopy where does it go????

Peter

Peter I'm very happy you like it. I still have few finishings to make but so far I'm satisfied.

I ordered a cheap air conditioning unit and I also have two separate ventilation systems that go from the technical room up on the terrace. One is bringing fresh air while the other one is taking out. On the terrace they look like two small houses on the roof:

You have a glass wall between your bedroom and lounge? Pretty unique. :)

I thought my place was pretty big but your lounge is the size of my bottom floor. :p

Yes, that is a glass wall which can be closed with a remote controlled curtain.
Thank you for stopping and for compliments, are really motivating.

A friend of mine had a 600 gallon L shaped tank that was only 30 - 36" deep with a 1000W MHL in the corner bend. He didn't have any bleaching or brown outs with his SPS.

First of all, I've always wanted to quote myself. Now I just need to start referring to myself in the third person. To make myself sound even more crazy, I am about to call myself a liar :)

I saw my friend with the 1000W MHL this week and double checked the tank depth and it was actually only 26" deep. He had mushrooms and other lower light corals doing well.

The issue of light pollution (leaking into the viewing area), illuminating the viewing panels and causing nuisance algae growth, over-heating and clearance issues mat still make 1000W prohibitive.

Spectacular build (and surrounds) Andy!

I'm sorry you were detained in Detroit and missed Peters dinner at MACNA. I would have enjoyed the opportunity to meet you. Perhaps next year in Iowa.

Your house is incredible, one question, do the grass above your apartment causes humidity? it looks great though :)

I'm sorry too I didn't make it for dinner but who knows maybe next time.
Thank you so much for compliments.
