Reef Aquarium 1350 gallons in Bucharest

Thank you so much guys for being patient. The water is coming tomorrow. :bounce1:

Andy

"tomorrow" is today. I can't take it...have you started the process of filling? Because of the detail that you've put into your rock work, this is my all-time favorite tank. HANDS DOWN! I can't wait to see it with H2O!

I know the weight of it all will be nerve-racking! All of my best wishes go out to your successful fill.

just to be in check here,
since were on the topic of curing the cement.. are you not worried about the lime releasing in the tank and maybe just maybe stained the glass and pipes with residue, I do not know what type of cement you use, but it happened to an old tank i cured my diy rocks in and i'll tell you something, if silicone is hard as hell to get rid off you have no idea

Not trying to hijack the thread, but need to ask for an upcoming project. Is there a better type of cement to use than others for a project like this?

Time to fill the tank for the first time

Time to fill the tank for the first time

First of all I had to put the tunze pumps:

Perhaps you have commented on this already so I apologize if this has been covered already, but it appears that the Tunzes are almost cemented in place in the rockwork. It looks great but am curious how you plan to remove them when they need to be cleaned? Are the cords somehow tucked behind the rockwork? I also must say the backlight effect looks realistic as well. Must say again your detail to the aquascape is second to none!

Ceremony

Ceremony

Why not have a ceremony just like in the champagne ship launch one?

Cheers to all of you!

:D Great sense of humor Andy :D I have finaly defeated the problem of not being able to see the pictures in your thread, and I must say - I am speechless. Incredible work Andy

That looks awesome!! One day this is a dream of mine but I am wanting to at least go with about 5000 gallons...I just need to get rich first. This morning when I saw you updated I was excited as if it were my tank. Thank you for teasing and keep the updates coming.

Great work

ANDY!!!!! WELL DONE! You have set an amazingly high standard friend. Excellent work so far. I'm always daydreaming about concocting the koolest tank ever.... well as it turns out I no longer have to dream - you've just schooled us all on how to build one. Hats off to you... when I grow up, I want a tank just like yours... (and I'm already 37 so I'd better hurry up...!!!)!!!

Beautiful.... Beautiful... Beautiful...

Very nice Andy! Congrats on the fill! I can't wait to see it as it becomes less cloudy. Scratch that...I can't wait to see it with critters!

Amazing. The backlit area makes such a huge difference... looks incredibly realistic. Great aquascaping.

I may pop a bottle of champagne when you get the first fish in there! :celeb2:

Congrats Andy!

Milestone........

Andy, the backlight is pure genius my friend. What a special trademark for your tank! It looks positively gorgeous. Now I am not going to have any choice. I am going to have to see this growing masterpiece in person. Well done my friend, you are the man!!!!
