Thank you very much Syed!

Even if I didn't get the chance to congratulate you for your thread I must tell you I read it all and I think is great what you achieved so far.

Very nice!

Andy

Thank you so much Andy for spending time to read my thread. Even I did not think about the person like you (Owning big monitor :) ) will appreciate my work and achievements"¦

Follow-up your thread. Love to see marine life in it. Thanks again"¦.. 

That's a very creative and original idea you have with the backlit "opening" in the reef. I think the effect will work with the main lighting on if you use a more blue light or use opaque/translucent blue plastic to make it look blue. The dawn & dusk effect will be the most significant. Great work!

How did you hide the Tunze cords... and don't tell me they are new wireless models :spin1:

i was wondering if there was a way to just but about 6in of tap water in your tank.
that way the salt used can dissolve and the concrete can leach out. that way your not using good filtered water. (that you would possibly have to drain)

a small submersible pump would be fine for water movement.

Done! It's only tap water and 3 pumps are on.
Thanks!

Andy

andy, ive been following your thread and this is amazing! if i might ask, if not to intrude, what is your profession? i find it awesome that there are so many different ppl from different professions with this awesome hobby. you being so busy with work makes this thread that much more awesome because of your dedication.

I have done all kinds of things but mostly real estate which in the last few years kind of fall. That means more time for the tank. :twitch:

Thank you!

Andy

just to be in check here,
since were on the topic of curing the cement.. are you not worried about the lime releasing in the tank and maybe just maybe stained the glass and pipes with residue, I do not know what type of cement you use, but it happened to an old tank i cured my diy rocks in and i'll tell you something, if silicone is hard as hell to get rid off you have no idea

Thank you very much for the concern. I don't have any pipes yet and on the glass is not that bad. I used emaco cement. There is a picture with it back in the thread.

I appreciate.

Andy
