Reef Aquascape

Hi, I have had my tank up and running about 3 months now, but am unsure about the Aquascape.

I have placed some large rocks at the front, that take up a lot of the open sand.

I have a DSB so I am thinking of removing these and stacking them more at the back, leaving more sand open and on view.

Is this recommended for any future livestock anyway?

It's all up to you. My base rock sits mostly at the back with other pieces piled on top. I have plenty of room for livestock and a nice open space for fish to swim and critters to crawl through my sand.

It is completely personal taste. I would remove the rock on the left and leave it open sand. But its not bad if you leave as is.

It's totally up to you what you like. Personally, I set my rocks so I could provide some caves allowing the fish to swim through them. I like it when fish swim through the rocks and stuff.

But aquascaping is totally what you want to get out of you tank

If the rock is on top of the sand bed (not sitting directly on the glass) and you get any sand sifters, they'll aquascape it for you.

Actually, they aren't on glass, but I have placed netting down on the crushed coral, before adding fine sand, and therefore they are sitting on the netting. So, hoping this will be ok.

Ah, I see. So your rocks are lying in hammocks on the beach? Lucky rocks.
