Reef Breeders Photon sps results

So I purchased the reef Breeders and have been running them for about 4 months or so. I got them when they came out with the 48 inch fixture. I had limited success with sps great results with everything else. My green sps is doing great but reds and blues not so much. The reds and blues slowly lose their color then bleach they still extend their polyps but color is gone. SO I added a t-5 to the mix I will keep you guys informed on the progress. My theory is that certain zooxanthellae algaes need those random spectrums. With the leds you are locked in so we will see wish me luck my tank is driving me nuts right now. :headwalls:

What were you running before the Reef Breeders? Is it possible this is just a change in intensity?

I was running t-5s but I took the LEDS up slowly I use the Zoas in the bottom of my tank as a guage to know when to let them be for while as far as intensity. No bleaching of the greens either they love that light

I had problems switching to LED from t5 too, but things have settled in and seem to love the leds, I'm actually upgrading my tank and ordered a photon for the new tank.. it's pretty close in spectrum to the led's on my existing tank..

I think adding some t5's back into the mix is a great idea, and something I may do also in the future, I just don't think anything gives as good of color as t5's do.
