well using my cacium reactor has lowered my ph would using a buffer rectify the situation it says it raises ph to 8.3 and it also raises alk would it raise the alk to much?

How far has it lowered it to? What is your alk and calcium at?

Reef buffer only temporarily adjusts pH. If you start chasing pH with a reef buffer, it will likely mean your alk will get too high. You might have to turn the calcium reactor down.

ya ur right my calcium level is a 400 but my alk is at 12.8 which seems a bit high so that buffer would probably push the alk to high my ph goes from 8.1 during the day and 7.98 at night

I'd say a 12.8 alk is already too high. I'd turn down the calcium reactor. Let the alk drop and the pH will go up just from the calcium reactor being turned down a bit.

I rectify my PH by using limewater top-off, it barely has an effect on Ca/Alk.

... but with a 12.8 alk already, I wouldn't do anything that might raise it more. I would try and get the alk down to around 8 and then if the pH is still low, try kalk topoff

how would i get the alk down when u say turn down the reactor do you mean less drip or less bubbles?
