Hello,
Ordered a couple buckets o' 160 gallon Reef Crystals and Fedex made some shipping errors. Suffice it to say, I have more salt than I need and I want to get rid of a 160 gallon bucket. $40. :) Let me know. Oh, and I'm in Milwaukee (Wauwatosa).

Come on man, Your never going to sell it at that price. Foster has them on sale right now for $31.99. Shipping is $10 for as many as you want.

Right (although I think after 2 buckets the shipping goes up a bit)and add the WI tax that I paid = $44.08 per bucket. If someone wants salt today and doesn't want to wait for it, then help a brother out. Otherwise, it'll just sit in the basement.

You make me sound like Hoffer's or something. BTW I have a Maxi-jet 1200 I'm willing to give away at $49.95 ;)

I apologize, I wasn't trying to make you sound like Hoffers at all. Your right on the shipping. If you order 10 the shipping is $17.00 Although Kraz if your looking for maxi jets Aquatics Unlimited was selling used, beat up 1200's for $25.00.:o

it amazes me how that place has been around for so long. And who is dumb enough to pay there prices?

But serously if you still have that bucket of RC saturday i can stop over and get it.

maybe I'm out of the loop, but what's going on on Friday?

I'm hosting this month's WRS meeting. I'm at 4920 N. Woodburn in Whitefish Bay. 7 pm Friday night. Chili and beer and saltwater. What more could you want?

Evan

LOL, damn Evan you think I can take her out of the house? She'd be licking your tank and throwing chili in it. She stays at home.

I am currently not a member of the WRS website so I do not visit that website. I use the RC website to get information on where meetings are being held at. Once in a while I do like to attend meetings when time allows and it would be nice to not have to stay up on what is going on with another website when we all ready have this one.

They should post a link on RC for those who do not use the WRS website

Yeah, we could post the link on all 10+ reef sites that people seem to frequent, but that just disperses the information to too many places and makes it much harder to keep everything up to date. It is much better to have it in a common centralized placed that those interested in going to meetings (eventually) know where to go to find it.

You make it sound like you got free salt & now you want someone to buy it, so you can profit from the shipper.
Maybe I'm just reading your post wrong.

Over the past few years the WRS membership has been stating they wanted a good website/means of communication other than the yahoogroups that used to be in place. It took a few years, but WRS now has something that while not perfect/complete/etc, IS evolving into what the WRS membership has asked for.

Yes, there is some duplication compared to what other websites offer, and WRS will continue to support this website also. (It is the only other website that WRS supports). Obviously WRS members make use of both areas which is why you got a reply to your question.

However, this is the direction that the majority of the WRS members wished to go. Items dealing specifically with WRS will be kept in a single area for ease of maintenance. Do note that while ALL yahoogroups communication was limited to paid WRS members in the past, most communication is now open to all on the new website, as we do want communication specific to reefkeeping available to all.

Feel free to make use of the new website as it evolves. You do not have to join WRS to take advantage of it.
