Reef Crystals results....

The "original" Reef Crystals results thread is not working for some reason, I have tried posting my newest results the past few hours--it won't go. So I started this thread to let you know about my test results of my bucket of RC:

Ok, I just retested my bucket of RC, I mixed with a powerhead for 12 hours, I got the temp to 79, checked the salinity (1.026) and the SG at 35 --checked by using my refractometer, and used my API Ca test kit--my Ca tested at 340 Ca

Its been happening in a lot of forums. You get bogus emails from threads not replied to and other strange things.

This is apparently extremely taxing on the system so they should be reported to a mod ASAP. :)
 
Apparently not, but hopefully soon.

I still trying to figure out why they sent EvilE more bad buckets when they know he got bad buckets in the first place. :confused:

They haven't sent me anything. It's still my original bucket. It seemed like every time I tested it, and it tested low, you told me what I was doing wrong, so I made sure to test it exactly the way you told me I should. It is still low, confirming I indeed got a bad bucket. I have sent some off to AS for analysis. We'll see what they say.
 
They sent me 3 replacement buckets and they tested low. I not going to bother with it, just fustrated, and they might think I am just tryto get salt.

That blows my mind that they wouldn't even test the salt before they sent it to you. That's crappy.

I decided to stop buying Reef Crystals.

What is a good alternative salt? I thought Tropic Marin pro reef was a good alternative but I am reading bad things about them also!!!
 
i dont know xenon, but i think im going to try seachem reef! only 1/2 a bucket of reef crystals to go!
 
i use a half/half mix of sea red and IO. The new batch numbers CA is around 400, ALK is 10, and MAG is 1200. Thats at 1.026 with a refracto with has been caliberated using the 53 pin point solution.

I think I may switch to Coralife
