sad to see any LFS go like this though, yah they were higher priced but almost all the huge stores were because of the amount of overhead and operating expenses to have such a nice big store for us. Will definitely stop by.

It is sad to lose one of our local stores. The entire crew there was great. I have no doubt we will see these guys around. Got to support your LFS or they wont be around to support you!

Hate to change the momentum, but this place was wildly overpriced and the employees were not very helpful. It is not surprising that this place is sinking. Reef monsters and Club Reef is more than eager to help with information and give you a great deal.

When people dont have the (inset your choice of word here) to use their real user name then they should just keep quiet or RC should just do us a favor and post up their real username. Probably just one of the other LFS.....

It sucks that a lfs is closing, but I too had no good experiences there... and their prices were way to high for a lot of things. But they did always have the best selection of dry goods.

They are a great store and everyone has always been helpful. I could not afford many of their corals, but I bought all of my fish from them and they have all done extremely well with prices being at or even below the rest of the market. They do things the right way, unfortuanetly that costs $$$. Can't fault them for that!!

I just left there, there was a picotope there. I doubt it will be there by Saturday. It was busy and they were selling things like hot cakes.

Just a heads up, I was there today around 12:00 and its pretty slim pickings. Most of the corals and fish have been picked over and not much left. They so have some fish for sale in their big DT left. I almost bought the sohal in there for $100. They still had a fair amount of additives and frozen food but not much in the way of equipment. As far as other fish, they had several varieties of clowns, some wrasses and and a few others.

People were alright there. But I'm not scared to say it "they were overpriced. Comparing to all LFS. A lot of ppl here know me and I am very giving and never speak anything bad, but the truth. Sad to see them go as they did have a great display. I like the store just not the price to set the record straight.

I was there after 5 pm tonight and they were already closed. Am also curious what they will do with their DTs and system equipment.

You're right. more like battery, not assault. in most jurisdictions assault doesn't necessarily mean physical contact was made.

I am sorry to see RC go. When I was just getting started with SPS, they were my go to place for ORA livestock.

I also really enjoyed Skip, and learned a lot from him. I had always wondered where he disappeared to.

I hope this does not sound too vulture-y, but does anyone know if the big hawk fish in the display tank is still there? Love that fish!

I echo the feelings of others on this thread when I wish all of the crew the very best of luck in their future projects.
