Reef Fanatic Level Controller ATO

So I just picked up this ATO...quick question - it comes with a wire mounting bracket...for the life of me I can't figure out what it is for. There is no mention of it in the provided manual.

Can anybody help me out?

Take the two rubber suction cups off the top of the float switch. The metal bracket fits in the backside, much better than the rubber suction cups but has a very limited usefulness. I have one of mine glued to a old magnet glass cleaner.
