Reef Fanatic Ph and temp... opinions and availablity

I saw the special you guys are running on it and am considering one. I have a coralife digital thermometer and ive heard they are always off... How is the reef fanatic with accuracy and durability? Would you recommend a different unit over it? And do you have plenty in stock?

These are actually pretty accurate and of good quality. For $49.95 for ph and temp monitoring, it's pretty darn hard to beat!

Well I emailed reef fanatic.com. The calibration process was a nightmare. I followed the directions perfeclty When I used the 7.0 fluid it would bounce from 8.3 to 9.0. I had to keep unpluging the power and tem sensor then it finally seemed like it calibrated. I will send an update when I figure this out. It does look nice. I love the LED display. But my ph shows 7.65 at night on my pinpoint and 7.40 on the new probe. I know I am not that low at all :(

I just checked and it seems alot better. Pinpoint 7.65 Reeffanatic 7.65 . Lights are starting to come on.
I guess the probe needs a break in period. I am just wondering why it was a pain to calibrate:confused:

Try recalibrating again now that it seems to have settled in and see what it does for you.

its now .6 off compared to the pinpoint i will try again. Sebastian from reeffanatics seems to thinks its a faulty probe Just my luck:( But I still thinks its a great unit I like the LED lights and setup. I will keep you posted
 
new probe on its way. They said they had a handfull of defective probes and will do what it takes to handle the problem.
 
Well I should have taken you up on your offer for a new unit Jeremy. I figured the vendor would resolve this in a timely manner. I am stuck with a defective unit and broken promises from him, He gave me his cell phone number and he has not returned my calls today. It was suppose to arrive on Thursday. Then he promised Friday. He told me the replacment unit was a problem. Thats why he was late sending it. I gave him extra days last week to make sure I recieved a working unit.

I am sorry I have to post this. I know premium Aquatics is the best to deal with. Thats why i purchase all equiptment from you. The reeffanatics guy has really upset me. I am sure you will handle things

Hi Jay,

I apologize for the inconvenience. I spoke with Bob from Reeffanatic, and according to the UPS tracking it shows that delivery was attempted Friday afternoon, but there was no one there to receive the package, so UPS rescheduled it for this Monday. Will you be available today to accept the shipment?

thanks for looking into this I am sure ups went to the wrong home my wife was home all day and I was home early that day no notes from ups were left. Please get me a tracking number thanks again
