Reef fish food

Hello, I use PE mysis as my staple food, but am wanting to expand the menu for my fish. I have some ORA Glo pellets that I fed my firefish in my nano tank, and am wondering if I should use these in my main reef? Would my wrasse's eat it? I currently have my psychadelic mandarin and leopard wrasse eating frozen mysis, and I dont want to change that. Should I maybe incorporate a few pellets with the mysis? Also, I have a bottle of Selcon, but have recently read it is not the best. nor needed, for fish due to its fatty content(arent fish not supposed to eat fats). Any comments?

I would try out the ORA Glo pellets and see if your fish are interested in them. I used those pellets in the past, and most of my fish liked them. Also, I would use the selcon atleast once a week. I've been using it about once a week for the past year, and think it helps keep my fish healthy. Try to mix up their diet as much as possible. Mysis is a great food, but the fish need other food items too for long term health. The new life spectrum pellets are really good, IME, and I haven't had a fish yet that didn't like them.

I pretty much feed New Life Spectrum Thera+A pellets to my tank exclusively. Everyone eats it. I have also used Rod's food. That gets chowed down pretty quickly.

The LFS was trying to talk me into switching over to spectrum thera-a pellets today, I currently use Formula 2 Flakes. I've been feeding Spectrum to my Frontosas for years, and think it's great for color, but I noticed on the back that it contains copper sulfate. I asked the guy at the LFS, and he said he even feeds it to his corals, and has had no problems, but I am quite leary of adding anything with copper to the tank. What do you guys think?

I use Rod's food Fish only and NLS Pellets (large fish size not TherA) as well as PE Mysis and Hikari foods ... Rod's orginal good has food sizes for corals and fish and has Selco in it already...not cheap but fish love it...PE Mysis is good stuf fbut I beleive in mixing it up ..

I also use Roggers Food and all my fish love it. I stopped using PE mysis for a few reasons and my fish have not missed it one bit. I would suggest you try Roggers food.

Does it come in a frozen state ? Have seen alto of comments on this stuff . How is the shipping I live in TX .

I feed Hakari Mysis and krill. I feed Rod's once a week.

I have been wanting to add a pellet or flake to the menue once in a while for variety but didnt know what a good one would be. Sounds like New Life Spectrum Ther A is getting some good reviews.

LOL and what a collection of fish- last time I checked, interruptus/joculator/conspic/regal/achiles. Probably on of the best fish collection in one aquarium I've ever seen.

Rogger's Reef Food is by far the best food known to man or fish. I am a picky eater, and would eat this stuff, it is like a frozen ceviche blend with a little something extra thrown in. No clouding of water, the best of ingredients, no fillers or water fouling chemicals, and all my fish and lps love it. We are lucky to have Rogger in our local reefing community, and now everyone's fish and corals can enjoy Chef Rogg's gourmet food. The only reef food that I have found that comes close is Rod's, and have to say Rogger's blows it away. The vitamins and garlic are already in the food. I like to go back and forth between the regular and algae blend. Reminds me, it is about time for more food. If you see this Rogger, talk to John at John's Pet Shop on SoBe, he is interested in your food and it would be great to have extra just around the corner. I sometimes get jealous when my fish are enjoying premium seafood and I am eating something bland, but they are worth it. Bet you can make a heckuva a paella Rogg!

I still throw in some Spectra pellets from time to time, especially if I see one of my fish looking funny. My borbonius got some funky looking cloudy, semi-pop eyes with pinching after some recent temp swings, and the thera+A seemed to help. He's looking great now.
