Reef fish ..... Pairs

hey guys i have a 40g breeder tank that has been set up for going on a year i am in the process of turning it into a reef from a FOWLR..

so in my research ive decided i want a pair or two of different fish species , or maybe a pair and a school of some thing any ideas would be GRAND thanks

ex: a pair of some clowns or some sort, Or a pair of cardinals ??

Pair of clowns and a pair of shrimp gobies with a pistol.

Good ideal from Small Alien. You will not find any fish that will school or shoal in a 40 gallon tank.
