Reef Keep False Alarm

I e-mailed digital Aquatics , but I thought I would see if anyone here has something to offer. RKE
I have two alarms set up triggered from temp. Low 77 and 80 high. I am getting my alarm going off but the temp never left 78.3. No chiller kick in . When I heat up the probe the Halide shuts off and the chiller is running like it should. It has also set alarm on low end and everything said error. I had the buss cable in the PC4, I removed it and boom, back to normal. But I keep getting false alarm. The connection was poor for the temp probe. Wiggle it and cause the problem .I repaired the connection and no change now when you wiggle the wire, steady eddy. But still false alarm. set up another alarm for PH over 8.5. Yep you guessed it, woke up this morning to that alarm. Studied graph and PH was never over 8.17 during the night.
Confessions: I tugged the wire fairly hard once when I got caught on it. Temp probe wire. And I plugged the PH probe into the ORP port for a few hours one day . Seems these problems all happened since this episode. Maybe I fried it. ?? ( the SL1).. It seems to keep working in spite of the alarm. But then if the alarm is needed it most likely will not work.
Just a real bummer with this set up. I like having a controller, but this thing has been difficult to understand and set up. And you need much patience with customer support that I am lacking .lol. And just when I am feeling okay about it, it is broken. :hmm4:

Could be bad probes or probes that are starting to go bad.

I would wait for their response. Doubt its anything you did.

How old is it?

Only two months old. I. Think I may have a power surge issue. I was finally in the room when it happened. Hope I got it.

can you set it up with a time delay? Like Temp 80 for 20 seconds triggers alarm 1.

I had to set my apex like this cause otherwise it was sending me emails and text's with alarms anytime I power cycled it or with any power loss.

Hey. I believe I had a poor outlet connection on one of my PC4. Last night both lights, protein skimmer ect, everything on the reef keeper went out for a split second. I found a plug not plugged in so good. That brings me to the need to go buy a better power strip. Any ideas? Thanks for the delay idea. That would for sure be at least a great diagnostic for me right now and a good fix for it too.
Anyway. I think ,and hope, that when the plug was loose it was taking down the system .
