Reef Keepers in Albuquerque?

Hi all,

I was just wondering if anyone knew of a reef club or group that is in the Albuquerque area? I've checked in the club directory with no luck. I have lived here a while and still don't know of many reefers here. I'm mostly looking for people to swap frags with. Maybe hang out, have a beer, and stare at tanks.

anyway good luck to you i live in southflorida and have probloms finding people O_O where do they all hide.. heres a tip tho.. go hang out at a LFS and tlak to anyone who buys anything saltwater related. better chance that way then posting online

Yeah, good advise. But at least this way, I'm talking to people with a real vested interest in the hobby. Not Joe Schmoe that just saw Nemo for the first time.

I don't know that there are that many of us here in Albuquerque... (I am in Tijeras).

But now there's TWO.

A great place to go is Coral Island (you probably knew that already, though ) on San Pedro.

I certainly do my best, that's for sure But, I couldn't think of a finer establishment to surrender my money to.

So. I guess it is indeed just the =3= of us in Albuquerque. New Mexico isn't that big, that's for sure, but I could have sworn there would have been more!

it was rob he told me too many pods were not good for my, and actully he does usally have good advice and has exellent tanks but even with the discount he was giving me i do get better deals online

Yeah, Coral Island is OK, but after seeing some LFS around CO, AZ, TX, and CA its nothing and his prices are pretty high. But, most of the time, I go there because its instant and I can see the corals.

Anyway, I'm down if any of you want to go for a few beers sometime or try to start a club. I tried a few years back, but I just couldent get enough people interested.

I go to school and work in albuquerque, but I usually have some free times on the weekend or any time after 5pm except for some mondays.

YAY!!! I'm Not the only "Crazy" one around here.
