Reef Nutrition Oyster Feast

Ok guys trying to figure this out as I want to dose my shallow reef with this product. Here is what I understand...

1 US teaspoon = 4.92892161 milliliters

Ok so in a 21g tank I should dose between 1 and 2 ML? I know FireC says they dose 4 squirts but I would like to be a little more accurate so I can monitor the results and adjust accordingly.

Thanks,

Mark

I assure you Bio Plankton from liquid life is not a snake oil either.

I can assure you that as well as I know Ed (owner) quite well and used to use his products (pre Reef Nutrition days). Fine product. Heck I knew him before LL when he was helping sell skimmers back in the day.

Don't think Wishin2boutside was actually calling it snake oil, I think he just forgot to put a period between the snake oil part and the part about never having used LL products.

I have been using both Oyster Feast and Roti Feast for the last year and a half or so. I believe my colors improved after I started using them.

How does the oyster feast compare to straight up oyster eggs from DT's? Pricing, ingredients, effect on tank, etc...

Has anyone used both and have a preference?

There was a thread about this product a while ago, someone posted a pic of it under a microscope and could find 0 whole eggs. It looked more like a slurry of tissue than anything else, and if thats what it is I dont see how it is any better than mashing up a little fish food and dumping it in. I like the hikari frozen rotifers because you can actually see that they are whole even without magnification, whether or not they are really utilized by sps I dont know.

I was interested in this too, and back then there wasn't much response to it either. I will admit that it does make me wonder, yet I have still purchased Oyster Feast again since then because so many NICE tanks use it. There are sooo many ways to differently do things in this hobby, I just tend to listen more to the members who prove they know what they are doing with nice pictures and growth rates of their coral. Reefbum, who replied on this thread being a prime example.
