Reef Octopus BH 1000 HELP

Ok, so with all the advice I got on this skimmer I purchased one. Got it today, got it together and the instructions suck. Does anyone know how to adjust the water level or air bubbles on this thing? After primin\g mine and plugging it in the water pumps in so fast it cant return to the tank fast enough and over flows.

I have the 2000 I just used the silencer. The little valve I never needed if there is and restriction on the air intake mine will overflow as well

I am just using the silencer, not the valve. Everything is setup correctly
but there has to be away to adjust the water level or restrict the incoming water because it just fills up into the cup and on the floor. I am also 100% sure there is no restriction on the out put tube.

Do you have the white band around the collection cup?? Are you getting any microbubbles in the reaction chamber?? I know when I first installed mine I was not getting alot of microbubbles. Also are you using the sponges?? I just took them out because they just get clogged easy

I do have the white band, not using spounge and very little micro bubbles.

I don't understand why it is overflowing. The output pipe should be big enough to allow the water to escape as long as you are not using any of the sponges. Can you take a pic or video and post it?

When I adjusted the surface skimmer, more upward which restricts how much water is going in it seems to be working fine.

As long as you have it working. Never had that problem when I got mine. My problem was getting the micro bubbles.

Working fine now. Pulling tons of crap out. Instructions stink.
