One thing is certain. Gary is not in it for the hobby. It seems like it is a money maker for him. This is why he wouldn't offer to let anybody take a look at his stock. He wants you to win the highest bid on ebay for his coral. This is fine. I have no ill feelings toward Gary or the way he does business.
I thought it was going to be awesome to have another source of higher end corals in the Cleveland Ohio area. I guess this is not the case here. Good luck Gary, Dan

I don’t see how his prices are inflated? He puts .99cents on them, and if people are willing to bid it up to 30.00 well then I guess it was worth that to the person who bought it. You can’t fault him for that. I bought a few frags from him for about 15-20 per,
And that’s about what I pay from anyone in the hobby. Mind you there a little small but since I’m in the hobby I don’t mind watching them grow
And no shipping.

I just picked up another 5 frags for under $50 from Gary this Sunday. Some of the frags are a little smallish but very healthy and clean. I dip all my new corals and I have yet to find any pests on his frags. As for those wanting to see the corals in person they are all WYSIWYG. It is like buying from any other online vendor without the shipping. I will be buying again.

In case anyone is thinking about this I just got 5 frags from him yesterday which were EXACTLY the ones pictured on the listing. They all look similar in coloring in my tank too..(course we all know lights make a diff). Anyhow I got 5 frags (no softies) for the same as I would expect to pay for just 1 piece of coral at a store..great deal IMO.

Members of the Board of C-Sea have been in contact with the owner Mr. Gary King of Reefpets. Nice guy and appears very up front and candid. Just the type of people I prefer to deal with on a daily basis. Anyway, details of that correspondence will be posted in the members only portion of our club's forum and or up for discussion by the membership at the September meeting.

As to the quantity and quality of his services I cannot comment for I have not bought from him. But figured since the board of the club has attempted contact with this vendor it was worth posting.

Pretty sure there is no secret. He sells wholesale to local pet stores that have a federal tax ID# He sells frags through ebay on the side. So if you don't have a tax ID# you must win the bid on ebay.

Oh don't take my answer for a be all end all. I have no connection with the goings on of C-SEA or reef_pets. I just talked to Gary a bit when I was picking up. Plus I know a few others that have contacted him about sales outside of ebay. His response was if you have a fed tax ID# he can sell to you at wholesale prices.
Do I see Ohiomom coordinating a group sale in the near future?

Checked his ebay stuff and it looked good. Nice to know you can bid and then go pick it up and not pay shipping
