Reef Prop in Eastern TN

Anyone in Tri-Cities, TN that propagate corals with success or advise on selling to local fish stores or online? I have researched the area and beyond however have not talked to the stores yet. Will be starting new tanks for prop in next couple months. :bounce1:

Looking for others to meet in East, TN or parts of Virginia and North Carolina.

I know one person that has a coral facility that sells to the LFS in the Tri-Cities area, but good luck getting in touch with him. He will disappear for wekks/months at a time. I know that he is supplying mushrooms, Xenia, and possibly zoas for now.

I'm in Knoxville, and just started a reef tank. What prices do you sell to individuals at? Cheaper than Coral Reef or Aquatic Marine?

I got an email recently about an emeerald crab I have from an email address, something like WhitheadFamily. Was that you or somebody you know?

Would you trade a frag for an emerald crab? This little guy is tearing up the coralline algae in my small tank and I may need to get rid of him.

Over the last week I found 2 more stores that like to purchase from local instead of the big corp prop farms because of product quality and price. Looks like just asking is the best option. Thanks for other locations previously give also, now I just need enough product to sell which is the hard part.

howdy! i just wanted to let ya'll know that we're starting preparations for our East Tennessee Reef Club frag swap to be held on June 19. If any of you would be interested in setting up a tank with frags for sale, we'd love to have ya. we'll be posting the flyer in the announcements forum soon.

great! we're doing a big recruitment drive in april, so hopefully there will be a bunch of new members at the april meeting. the club gets 10% off at both coral reef and aquatic marine, and at the april meeting, the club is matching the 10% off at AM up to a $50 purchase (so basically an additional $10 off) for new members. there will also most likely be a crazy deal on salt that day also. and we're trying to get a sump demonstration going. its all kind of in the works right now...we'll be posting more in our RC forum in the next day or two.

if you join the club at the swap, we'll be offering 5 free raffle tickets when you join also. it really is a great group.

this is the only one i know of around knoxville, tho there is one in chattanooga in september, i believe. and Middle TN holds theirs in, i think, january.

we just had the website revamped and we're planning on posting the pics from last years swap on there. they'll hopefully be up by the weekend.
