I was told by a fellow reefer in my hometown that ground up fish food could be used as a substitute for reef roids. I have some Nutrafin max complete marine food that i bought when i first started reefing. My fish have never liked it and i now only feed frozen food so i have no use for it and was thinking i might grind it to a powder and use it as reef roids. But im scared i will pollute my tank. Ill list the ingrediants bellow. Let me know what you think.
Ingredients: Fish meal, Soy Protein, Corn flour, Wheat flour, Pre Digested Plankton, Fish Oil, Krill, Squid meal, Fish liver meal, Oat meal, Wheat gluten meal, Soy Flour, Squid Liver Meal, Dried Yeast, Shrimp Meal, Laver Aquatic Plant, Wheat Germ Meal, Amino Acids, Lecithin, Chlorophyll, Vanillian, Citric Acid, Vitamin, Ethoxyquin(preservative)

Guaranteed Analysis: Min Crude Protein 45%, Min Crude Fat 5%, Max Crude Fiber 3%, Max Moisture 8%, Max Ash 9%, Min Phosphorus 0.6%, Max Phosphorus 0.9%

Yup, I got an opinion :)

Ethoxyquin is very scary. Do a google search on it. Since it was first used in animal feeds, they seen a HUGE increase in cancer and birth defects.
