I want a butterfly and need a quick response. Making order from j&l aquatics tomorrow. Have a 90 gallon with soft corals and some zoas and canycane. Also have a resident yellow tang. Would appreciate your thoughts on species and size to acquire and if this is possible at all. Thanks

Ive had a couple copperband butterflys. All they did was wipe out my aiptasia and feather duster population. Didn't touch anything else.

Thanks. Frightened to death of copperbands but a beauty fish. Love to get one to clean up small aiptasia that seems to alway appear. My concern is the ability to get them to eat.

I would go with a copper banded butterfly but I have always been partial to the long nose yellow. Make sure you get the pick of at least three individuals. This is the best chance for success and has not failed me.

I think your tank is too small for the butterflies that MIGHT be able to deal with the YT, and things like a CBB will not, IME.

I agree with sd guy.
A copperband is pretty mellow and a yellow tang can be hyper. Put that in a tight 90 gal and I don't think it will work.

most threads i have searched throught as i was looking at this myself few months back was that the longnose would probably work out.
