Reef Safe Puffers???

So will saddles or tobies mess with clams? I know everyone is different, and I know that some mess with corals and some don't, but are clams safe? I'd really love to get a crocea and a puffer, lol.

I've read some stuff on people acclimating Green Spot Puffers (a fresh -> Brackish water variety) to saltwater with success. It'll still be an aggressive puffer that'll eat your snails and other shelled inverts, but corals are not part of it's natural habitat and thus it shouldn't eat them.

Actually as the Green spot puffer gets older the salinity needs to get higher so it's best to convert them over.

It shouldn't mess with corals though right? Just be a normal mean ole puffer that might threaten slow moving fish and inverts yes?

Cuz they look tasty - all meat and once you bust into the shell there is just tons and tons of meat.

have had a pocupine in my 125gal reef for years lots of sps and lps some softy hitchhikers(zoos, shrooms) he has never touched a thing. they are pretty messy eaters though so big skimmer is a plus.
