Reef Saftey Question

Are mantis shrimp considered not reef safe because they have a nasty habit of having the clean up crew over for dinner too often or is the corals themselves that are the problem?

Is it possible to keep a mantis in zoo tank knowing the clean-up crew will become dinner? Or is it better to actually feed a mantis at scheduled times? I’m looking to create 10 gallon zoo/mantis tank.

Any information would be helpful.

i have a zoa/mantis tank, my mantis never messes with my zoas. i even keep large turbo snailes and a pygmie angle fish. i feed him every other day. altho if he does eat my turbos or my fish i wont be supprised! but he dosent mess with my zoas.
