So I contacted Reef Savvy because I was interested in having them build me a frag tank, 36x24x10. The price was high but reasonable, but the wait time is over 6 months?!?! :hammer::hammer:

Anyone have other recommendations on where I could get a similar glass frag tank built? :eek1:

Im in Miami Florida

I heard a rumor that someone builds them here in Miami for half the price. I guess if you find the origin of the rumor you will find your guy

The quality and attention to detail put into each Reef Savvy tank is unlike any other IMO.I have a Reef Savvy tank and the 6 month wait time was well worth it for me. I've seen other tanks built locally, they're not bad but definitely not Reef Savvy quality.

I second this. Patience pays in this hobby like no other.

there's a huge waiting list but it's worth it. you definitely do get what you pay for with the quality.

I have a cube for sale on these forums and you can see from the pics that quality is top notch.

6 months is good. I was told 8-9 months on my quote. Went with Exotic and I was happy with the outcome. Wait time was around 3 months. If I was told 6 months on a reefsavvy I wouldve'd went with them but that's just because I really like his tanks. But again, i'm happy with the tank from exotic.

Reef savvy uses Starphire glass and black silicone. If you're just a little bit handy, you can build it yourself for around 1/3 of the price and much sooner. You get clean silicone lines by using painter's tape along all the joints. If you're not handy, Exotic can build it for you using Starphire, they build the tanks for several LFS.
