Reluctantly I will have to let my reef tank go. If any of you guys know someone might be shopping for a setup. Please send them my way. I will let it go for best offers.

Thanks
Donna

I'm sorry to hear Donna:(

I thought of you when I saw the article about Cobalt moving in the paper yesterday.

You will want to list what you have and a price you are looking to get for them.......you can allways take lower offers, which you will most likely get. The mods won't let threads without prices go on very long. They are considered to be like Ebay auctions and are not allowed.

Also FWIW you will probably get more $ if you part your setup out. I would suggest hanging on to any equipment you might reuse in the future because you will be lucky to get 1/2 of what it will cost for you to buy things new again.

good luck, Chris

Let me ask you this. could the fish Survive a two day trip? It will be cold weather when we move.

It depends on the fish but probably not. If it was mild weather and you had battery powered aerators I would say maybe. I lost a few when I just moved from Nashville to Knoxville. It also depends on the type of fish......tangs are notorious for freaking out and going downhill fast. I didn't loose any corals but I lost 3 fish... go figure:rolleyes:

If it were me the only "livestock " I would think about moving would be the live rock. You may need to recure it again but it will even travel fairly well just kept moist. Soft corals might also survive the trip ok.....with the exception of xenia.

Donna,
I need some stuff. Would you mind listing what you have for sale? Thanks!

2 (Ocellaris Clownfish)
1 (Banggai )
2 (Yellowtail Blue Damsel) one stays beat up.
1(Royal Gramma)
2(Cleaner Shrimp)
Xenia, Frogspawn with 10 heads, few other corals I really don't know names of. over 200 to 300lbs of live rock with polyp corals on it.
I have all this set up in a 75 gallon w/ oak stand and hood. 10 sump w/over flow box and up 100 gallon seaclone skimmer.
I really would not know what to price any of this stuff at but, I guess if I had to $600.- O.B.O

Thanks
Donna

Thanks for the info Chris.
I thought I would have a better chance with the live rock and corals. May just have to sale the fish and keep the rest. I really would hate to start all over again and the cost is too high.
Guess I will see if anyone wants to buy it first
Donna

Sorry for making yet "another post.” Guess I would just have to sale the fish and keep the rest.
Sorry for being so confused but I'm at whit’s end on what to do.

Donna, I might be interested in one of the clowns and the gramma, and any of the rock and 'spawn youd be interested in selling

With the meeting being at your house, now is the perfect time to sell everything. Just list all the fish and corals and other livestock and what price you want for each.

If you need to move your live rock with you, I will likely have a foam box from the snail order I can bring you.

If the price seems too high, then just let me know.

2 (Ocellaris Clownfish) $15.-
1 (Banggai ) $20.-
2 (Yellowtail Blue Damsel) Free
1(Royal Gramma)$10.-
2(Cleaner Shrimp)$20.-
(clam)$60.-
(frogspawn)$50.-
The rock would depend on what piece someone would want.

UPDATE: My Mother will be taking my tank setup til we are relocated in Kansas.

Thanks
Donna

Me too. I have moved many fish and many tanks over the years but not on a 14 hr haul.

That is great that you are going to keep your tank.

Yes it is good. We can keep the tank. Well my mom will have the tank till we get relocated. I just don’t know how we are going to handle traveling 14 hr with a saltwater tank. Not to mention, it will be cold and snowing in Kansas at the time we move.
