Reef1589's 75g T5 SPS Shinanagin..

Reef1589

Anemones for life
So.. i have an addiction problem..

I like Colored Sticks... :lol2:

Now that i got that off my chest.. i feel much better!

So i thought i would make a thread for my tank.. to kind of keep track of the progression of my SPS... as i recently just purchased some new frags/larger colony.. yesturday... and today i had to re-do the rockwork just to make the large colony i purchased look right...and not so out of place, i told myself today i would re-do my rockwork around the big colony i bought... and give it plenty of room to grow, and make it look a little more natural..and this is what i came up with.. Let me know what you think of my tank. Some of the smaller branching mini colony's have been with me from the beginning..

Hope you all enjoy :)

Full Tank Shot - as you can see i went with 3 seperate island's, but the 2 isle's on the right.. i kind of put some small rocks at the base to create a type of trench/ravine look where Polyps/shrooms will be placed..

here's the right side, kinda shows you the two islands...with the trench where the shrooms/polyps will go..

Left Side ..Nothing special (ignore my sick haddoni.. he's fighting off a infection passed by a newly arrived S. Gig.. i got another thread in the anemone forum if you wish to read about it)

excellent buy, and excellent placement in all aspects with the placement and aquascape in your tank! Fantastic work on the simplicity and continuity of your entire aquascape. If I may ask, what camera are you using, and are you able to capture such vivid colors on actinic? mmm.... I went back through the delicious images you posted, and was drooling over your polyp extension.... I hope I can say that here.. and had to add to my previous post. Thank you for such delightful eye candy...mmm.

sorry... I went back through the entire thread again, and realized i forgot to comfort you in your worries of addiction to colored sticks. How insensitive of me- no, you are not alone.... I too suffer the same addiction. I live on polyp extension. Colored sticks of polyp extension. Just as all of the beautiful tank and coral shots/macro on this amazing site has ended up as my wallpaper at some point in time, your beautiful shots too, sir is saved as my wallpaper- So these sticks can be drooled and further examined. I just wanted to reach out to you , in getting some sense of sanity, as my girlfriend and all others around me seem to think otherwise of me. I guess I am the only boyfriend, or any guy she knows who has my phone and pc wallpaper as ... polyp extension, aquascapes, fts, and anything reef related, not of my girlfriend. Again, you are not alone...

hahah well thank you :), i didnt think mine was wallpaper worthy yet, as i dont got amazing growout yet... but someday :)

and for the camera i use its just a sony A300... just adjusted the settings on the camera to better suit the tanks lights..

thanks for the compliments :)

sorry for the somewhat crappy video... recorded it with my ipad two, and the contrast and color likes to change.. but meh.. just to see it :)
