Reef1589's S. Gigantea Collection.

Robbie... come out, come out where ever you are. What I can say is I think he started a new job. He has a 40 breeder still with stand or cabinet in process. He might be taking a little break but I have feeling he will be back.

I wish this tank was still up and running.

Sorry for bringing up an old thread.

hahah this makes me appreciate all the hard work I put into that tank and those anemones :D

I think Robie is still around in Chicago somewhere

this is correct :) still in the Chicagoland area.

The lower green was Robbie's.
Here's today, the one that's closer to the front/lower green.

Glad to see this green one is doing well :) did you buy it off of PTR13?

And this is correct after moving to multiple places and instead of taking down and setting up and taking down, I just waited until I found a place I plan to stay at for longer than a year haha ..

I actually did finish the 40b and stand finally, and it should be up and running within the next week.. and it will have a Purple S. Gig and my mated Pair of Snowonyx / Rod Onyx combo housed in it.

here is a preview of the new tank to come :)

My biggest thing with this tank is I wanted it to look Clean and Sleek looking, unlike my previous monstrosities so with this one I took the time to build the stand and have spots to hide the wires.. here is what it currently looks like. The Mini BRS reactor will be mounted right to the Left of the Overflow Plumbing, on the back side of the 2x4, so all you will see hanging there is the Glass reactor... its going to look pretty nice. there is a pump behind the skimmer as well, that's already hidden and wires are tucked already.

My Rod's Onyx and Snowonyx are still laying eggs. going on 4 or 5 years now as a couple. had a few hiccups when moved into the 40b and thought for sure they got divorced ... She was beating the **** out of the male.... to where i actually had to separate them for 2 weeks, and re-introduced and then seemed to help the aggression.

and yes i know thats not an ideal spot for the slimer.

So yes, I'm still around, still in the hobby, and still addicted to S. Gigs.

Awesome to see that monster still with you. Your brother's lagoon is really nice, wish I had space and time for something like that. Those gigs with you now for what, 4 years? Looks great!

Yes, I got that green from ptr13 when he shut his tank down. Still have it.

yes we will be going on 4 years with both anemone's. the one in the 75g was actually in my uncles care for a bit, and just recently got moved to that 75g with a mated pair of Black Snowflakes.

and thats a shame, did Peter get rid of everything?
