Yes I did test with another kit. The para where very close to the same that I was gettingI had it tested by two people one with a salifert and one new out the box AP kit. Right now my para are

PH 7.9-8.1
Ammo 0
NO2 0
NO3 0
dkh 10
CAL 460

NO3 is actually less than some where between 5 and 0 closer to 0

sounds like you got it right and doing fine. Good to know that and wanted to check.

Yeah everything is doing very well. I am very happy to see the progress, although it was much quicker than everyone was telling me it would be. I do believe it was due to the live rock and the Natures Ocean live sand (but no worms or little critters in it ) I used along with the raw shrimp to kick start the cycle. Thanks for the for all the advice you gave me.

My kids want one of those mini bowfront 5 gal's now. I think I will let them set it up themsleves and just guide them. I like how you did that with the 3 siblings with that mini bowfront on the reefnest site. I figured I would use water from my tank when I do a water change and get like 5 lbs of LR & LS. They should be able to stock the first few days or week.
