I have two photon 32's on my standard 220 gallon

Which lighting schedule do you guys have more success with, the hour or half hour?

It's a mixed reef tank and I have been using the hour so far but I noticed the half hour has different intensities than the hour.

Even at hour intervals, unless you are looking at the tank when it changes, you'll never notice small steps. One company now has one you can change every 10 minutes. Who would program the light to do 144 changes of each channel, that's 288 different time settings! Crazy man.

I do a 4-6 hour sunrise, 2-3 hour midday and 6-8 hour sunset. The ranges are because I have done it several different ways. My midday is 90% B and 40% W. My corals are mostly sps and do just fine with this set up. BTW I have 2 IT2080's over a 180g reef and at midday I have a PAR of 200 near the sand.
