Reefer with multiple system FO and reef

bullitr

broke but happy
I wonder If that works out for you better than having one large reef
Since I am still debating what to do!
Thanks in advanced

What is "FO"? Perhaps if you described your intentions in more detail people might feel better about commenting.

FO - Fish only
After Nearly destroying my reef tank to catch all my fish
My main tank is currently fishless
Hopefully after 2 months going fallow and treat the fish with low dose copper, then prazipro and hyposalinity and ick will never comes back in the main tank.
But if it does I might just get a 150 or 180 gallon tank 48x30x24-30 tall sps tank.I don't want to do that unless I have too since I love seeing mutliple angels on mixed SPS reef but unfortunately it was short live everytime that I have it.

Having 2 systems is great, if $$$ allows it. In my opinion though, nothing equals the beauty of a large Reef system full of beautiful fish. It's how it was intended and designed and nothing beats that !!

someone is selling 325 gallon tank 100"x20"x40" socal i am thinking of picking it up as my FO tank and just have angels in there for few months do hyposalinity with low dose of prazipro then slowly bring the salinity up and transfer some to my main tank ....
hopefully my wife wont kill me ..lol

i know what you mean
one of my highlight isn this hobby is when i have 7 large angels on my reef tank unfortunately it was short live...:(

I prefer 2 systems. I just set up a large FOWLR. Honestly, its been 8+ yrs since I've run one and forgot how simple it was. Much easier than combating excess nutrients in the reef. Plus, every fish my wife picks out at the LFS is non-reef safe. Now I have a place for them...

+1, I tried maintaining corals with large fish. In the end I found out the fish eat a ton and produce an enormous amount of waste. I put all the corals in a separate tank and my maintenance is so much easier now. I feed my FOWLR more so the fish are happier, and my reef has a very low bioload so the corals are happier.

Hopefully I can pick up the 325 set up ...
Although I don't have much fishes to put on it since I am too broke after the 325 is set up
