Anyone interested in doing a group order with me from ReefHotSpot.com? They have medium Red Sea Purple Tangs on sale for $59 if you order an additional $100 in livestock. I want to order one but don't need another $100 in livestock this order. If anyone is interested let me know.

Hopefully no later than the end of the week. Depends on how many people want in.

FYI....By the way it doesn't have to be just fish. Inverts and corals can count as well.
 
I would be interested in getting the Anthias that are on sale= Dispar. However, they don't list the sex. I will contact them to see if it will work out- want to get a few males to go with the one I have. No females - so they wont fight. I dont have a big enough tank fro the purple tang. Bummer....
 
Yep - they can guarantee sex for the Dispar anthias. So I guess I am in - or at least interested in the group buy if other are getting in. BUT, We have to arrange a meeting place,etc as you are a long was away from me or see if who is the most central to the group to accept the order delivery,etc. Craig- are you getting anything else besides the tang? 3 anthias at $17 each = $51. I know they do free delivery after $200? or so. So lets see if we can get to that $$$ figure - that way is makes sense to drive out to you Craig. I will also look again to see if there is anything else I can order.
 
Yeah I can look for something else to order to help get us up to free shipping. Ted are the anthias for your office tank or home?

The Anthias are for the home tank = 90 Gallon mixed reef. I dont get to enjoy the office tank ( mixed 60 hex) or take very good care of it- see my posting for the atips/mojo problems I have. IN that case, with free shipping, I will add to my order= 6 chromis @ $3 each= $18. I love to watch them "school" and the last time I got them ( Cloaker did a group buy from this same place) I only lost 1 right away. Sine then I lost several from a power outage, but still have 3-4 left.
 
Ahh ok...well looks like we are good to go for an order. Ted would it be easier for you to place the order for us and hybridazn and I pick up from you or vice versa? I don't mind meeting somewhere...it is up to you guys. I am in Washington though so that would be a haul for you Ted to get down here. I was asking about your office tank because I thought maybe that might be a good place to meet if they were for that tank. Whatever works is fine with me.
 
Either way - the only problem about my office is the fact that I may be too busy to take care of the order immediately when it arrives - don't know if either of you could either. If I have an Emergency type patient then I may be tied up for an hour or 2. But if we can have it delivered on Friday that should work - I am in the office all day 8:30 Am till 7 pm. I will just bring lunch to work. Even if I am tied up if one of you can get here I can have air pumps, water ,etc. ready to go in a room that I wont be using that day. SO, between the three of us it should work. I just dont want to be responsible if a fish doesn't make it.
 
Friday sounds fine. I am free most of Friday morning and afternoon and could stop in around whatever the estimated delivery time from ReefHotSpot is so no worries about taking care of my order once delivered. Looks like shipping comes UPS priority overnight usually by 10:30am so I am good to pick up as soon as it arrives at your office Ted. Hybridazn does Friday work for you at all? Ted since you are ordering the most fish I think your office makes sense so you can at least keep an eye on them until you get them home.
 
Ok - lets do it. Anybody else want in??? Please confirm orders via Pm - how do you want to do the $$$ thing - just pay me when you pick up?? that is probably easiest- I hate Paypal. I will call/order via internet tomorrow for Friday delivery- unless we don't get the pick up stuff confirmed with everyone. They have other stuff on sale - anybody know anything about a blue bar psuedochromis?? Looks like a neat fish that is not expensive. I know other psuedochromis fish are fairly nasty- but the website says this one is not as aggressive.
 
Matt - no problem holding a zoa frag, cant confirm I will be at the meeting . I have been trying for many months and have been able to make it Zero. please get "confirmed orders in to me. Nate has not ordered anything yet-so I will take your frag home Matt.
