Reefkeeper 2 vs Aquacontroller 3 Pro

The Aquasurf is certainly not needed if you have a 7095, though most say it is more capable than the 7095. Personally I have never used the 7095, so unsure there.

The lunar thing, it cannot control the intensity of other LEDs, though I suppose if you have multiple plugs for those LEDs you could set up something similar. With their lunar module it can actually brighten and dim the LEDs for a full cycle. They only need 1 LED per 2ft of tank length to do it. Either way, it can at least do a partial job by turning your LEDs on and off at the right time, as well as perhaps simulating the new moon, etc.

I also would like to inquire whether i should have bought the ACjr. instead of the RK2 that i am supposed to receive tomorrow?

Ive been 'on the pot' too long so im just gonna buy the darn thing. my last questions are this:

when I buy the AQ3, i dont need to buy notes? notes lite is good enough? id like to manage the thing from my pc...can notes lite do this? also, when i buy the base unit, dc8 and ph probe, that means i can only control 8 outlets correct? if this is so, my mh's take up 3, T5's 1, led's 2...thats almost all of em right there. or am i missing something? i actually need TWO dc8's right off the bat right? heater, calcium reactor, kalk reactor, osmolator etc etc etc.

????

You shouldnt need to buy notes. Lite allows for most things you may wish to do. If for some reason you find the full version worthwhile you can always upgrade later.
As for the DC8s, count your devices, and remember that some you could double up if needed (your LEDs, skimmer and return pump, etc). Each outlet on a DC8 can handle a max of 6A. The full DC8 has a 15A limit. You might need to split things up accordingly.

The AC3 has a cat5 network port. If you don't have a network jack nearby, you can use one of the many wireless bridges out there to connect the AC3 to your wireless network. These are frequently sold as "game adapters".

oh yeah, when i buy my aq3 i am going to purchase the Dimmable Lunar Simulator 3 LED by Neptune Systems (1 led for every 2 feet of tank space right?)

is this what you have for the 'led moon cycle' you were talking about?

To double up on the DC8, you need one of those little whip tail things that you can pick up at your local hardware store. As for the Lunar Simulator, thats the one for the led moon cycle. They are quite nifty.

if that is the led device, am i correct in getting 1 led per 2 feet?

and i dont know what you mean by whip tail thing. sorry. im a dumbie

Yes, 1 LED per 2ft of tank length. And by whip tail, I mean 6in extension cords, then you can plug a splitter on the end.
