Which one works better. The live program drops the connection after every adjustment made on the lights and I can only sometimes get it back by restarting the computer. Im wondering if the Reeflink system is more stable.

Jim,

You shouldn't be loosing connection to ESL after programming. Make sure you are using Google Chrome as your browser when signing online. That said, a ReefLink will stay connected and eliminate the need to connect the USB cable and start your Connection Manager.

Yes I am using chrome. This has been happining since day one. It is really not working well now since apple had to put a new mother board and hard drive in the computer. I dont know what changed but the connection is even hard to establish with the lights and Live. If Reef Link is a better connection I would try that.

Neither Get an Apex controller with WXM module Never loses connection. And you can do almost as much with it as with anything Ecotech provides

I am running 2 G3s and have had so many issues with using either way I am going to get rid of them, YES Ecotech helps me fix every time but I struggle with always having to go back and forth . I have been ramping up every couple weeks till I find best point and Every time Its time to go up or down I dred trying to hook up

I know its a shame, they have a great light and great support but the system just doesnt seem stable enough to work consistently. I may try the wxm that was suggested above. They need a controller that has the program in it and connects to the lights. That would eliminate all the variables.
