i got a the new pump about a month ago. yeterday it locked up on me. i took it apart but the impeller is stuck in the houseing. im trying to clean it up with some vinegar but its not working very well - is there a schematic or manual that has the parts list so i can see what all moving parts are inside the pump?

is this a common thing for these pumps? i cant imagine it gunking up in less then a month?

This is the very first pump I've heard of with the BH's that have locked up. Did the pump run dry at all? The impeller will not pull out just by grabbing the black head, you have to put a flathead screwdriver underneath the silver housing next to the green block housing and lift up on it, then the entire thing comes out.

- no never ran dry just came home and it was off and smoking hot - pulled apart the union water everywhere inside it so it wasnt dry - have tried to get it broke lose - it finally broke lose with some work and now it sounds like theres something grinding when it spins- ill take it apart how you said and see what it looks like - its only a month old i cant imagine it already has that much build up in it

just reread what you said - i already have the impeller housing thing out ut the black impeller wouldnt spin when holding the silver round part- it was locked up - i soaked it in vinager for last few days and still nothing - today after playing with it for another hour i got it free spinning but it dosnt sound super- not horrible but def not clean spining

does the actual black impeller come out of the silver aluminum housing type of thing?

I'm getting ahold of Reeflo to figure out what could be causing this. Once I hear something back I will let you know.

Sounds good - I have my tank pretty functional without it as of now - the housing is good to go its just the impeller assembly - if you need to talk to me pm me and I'll call whenever ya need me to
