Reeflo Blowhole pumps?

New pump arrived today. Starts on low with no issues. Customer service from reeflo was awesome.

reeflo is replacing the pump . Should have a new one here in 2 days. Refflo said the Beta versions dont function well on "low" setting. Solid pump, just make sure you dont have the earlier versions.

So basically they had a bad first batch? How can you tell if they are the beta version?

Just learned that the Reeflo has discontinued the blowhole series and have no inventory. Guess the problems were way more common than discussed.

Reeflo told me a few weeks ago that they are coming out with a completely new line of pumps this month. I will be contacting them asap because they still owe me a replacement blowhole pump. I'll let you know what I hear.

So i was just told that the blowhole 1450 pump no longer exists...they are sending me a 2700 instead. We'll see how long this one lasts. Stay away from these pumps!

Purchased a BH1450 but seized after only 6 weeks. Was able to free the rotor but continued to seize on a more frequent basis. Finally disassembled and found evidence of rust. They sent a replacement but this also soon showed signs of rust under the clean out plug. Contacted them again and they sent a me one of the redesigned pumps. Have had no problems with this pump and clean out plug shows no signs of rust. Unfortunately, they have no more of this style pump.

As I stated before Reeflo is a great company with really good pumps just so happen the Blowhole pumps were a flop. They allowed me to send my four back so now I am using 1 Barracuda and 2 Darts on my build as these are good proven pumps with a long track record. Customer Service is everything to me and Reeflo has one of the best in our hobby

My BH2700 failed after 1 year of use. Reeflo was very good about sending out a replacement. The new pump appears to use the same motor, but now has a plastic pump housing and upgraded bearings, and was renamed the Trident.

I am hoping the redesign will correct the issues with these pumps, dropping $70 a year in shipping fees and the hassles involved aren't going to work for me.
