Reeflo Dart Gold indentification

Guys i recently purchased what is supposed to be a dart gold. The label that would normal say Dart blah blah has been wet and not readable. Is there any way to identify if its really the dart gold or if its a regular dart with the baldor motor? Can I look at the power listings or something on the motor itself? there has to be a way... any ideas?

From what I can remember if it has a ao smith motor it is a normal dart. If it has a Baldor motor it is a gold dart.

Yeah thats what I thought too, but some people sent thier darts in for repair and recieved the baldor motor back, so Im not sure... I have regular dart with the ao smith motor that is about a year old and this "other dart" that im not sure what it is with the baldor motor that is prolly 2 years or less old. Trying to figure out which to keep... Would love to have the extra flow of the gold if that is in fact what I have here.

The new Darts have the Baldor motors too, but the Dart Golds should have the Baldor with the cooling fins on them if I am not mistaken.

well my regular dart has a fan on the back of the motor and it is ao smith... and baldor one has one too.... i wonder if there is a serial number somewhere that I could email reeflo and ask them what exactly it is. any other thoughts on how to identify?

The "Gold" has a better motor and slightly better flow (not much).
The "Super Gold" has the better motor and a different impeller which produces higher flow. You can replace the impeller with a "super" if you want.

Did you try doing a search on the Internet for this? I put in "dart gold pump" into Google, and the first link that came up had a picture of the Dart Gold.

Maybe you could post a pic on here for us to see. Post a pic and I am sure someone can ID it for you.

Heres a cell phone pic... dunno if this helps. Sorry for the size

Just a side note. Your gold dart looks like my regular one that is currently in service. Thats not the baldor motor is it?

OK heres the skinny, the baldor motor pic is a "gold" dart, what makes it a gold is the baldor motor, the AO Smith motor is a regular dart. The 2nd pic , with the gray body with the heat fins, is a "super" Dart Gold, you get more flow, and less wattage with each one, the super dart being the least power hungary and the most flow.Reeflos website is a little tricky to navigate, but go on ebay and search reeflo dart and you will see the diff styles. The advantage over the AO motor dart is, the baldor runs much cooler , uses less energy and has slightly better flow. There are 3 Dart models
