reeflo pumps

I am considering getting a dart or snapper for my closed loop. However, I have seen on the reeflo forum that a few of them have had leaks. I was curious if any of you that are running these pumps have had these problems and what are your opinions of these pumps? Any input is welcome. Thanks in advace!

I would imagine that leaks are a very rare thing. Dozens (hundreds if not thousands) of people use these pumps. They are also a direct adaption from their commercial line of pumps. In other words these are commercial grade pumps with a HUGE installation base and very few problems.

I have had 2 Reeflo Barracuda pumps running for over 2 years now and 3 Reeflo hammerhead pumps running for over 1 1/2 years now and the only problems I have had was slight buildup of salt around the shaft seal. These pumps run 24/7 in closed loop systems.

All of my pumps have the black pump housings. Even had one come in with a cracked pump housing and was replaced by Reeflo, no questions asked.

Awesome info guys! Thanks for replying! I was pretty sure that these were just rare cases and were nothing to worry about.
