Reeflux 12K bulb

Anyone here using that bulb? I have them on IC ballast and the color is reallllyyy blue/purple. I didn't expect them to be that blue/purple.

I have the de version, and it's way blue and purple when you first turn it on. The blue/purple goes away after the bulb burns in.

SE.. Cool.. good to know.. I like blue/purple but right now it's just like actinic bulb. That is just to much blue ..

I use a DE 12k reeflex on a icecap ballast, and it has always been very white with a little blue to me.

I run SE on a HQI Ballast (prolly not a good thing), but crisp white.

What ballast are you using Mike? my Reeflux 10K bluer than that.

I'm using the same electronic ballast as... I think it's the Aquamedic? fixture, it's the dual 250w e-ballast that they sell on custom aquatics for like $130 (or did). They have whitened up considerably since I got them, although how much exactly I really can't say since I went from 14kK hamilitons to these.

I am using Icecap 250W with SE reeflux 12k and they will lighten up at awhile after burning in. You will like the color crisp white with a hint of blue.

Yeah, I love the color.. just wish Sanjay would do some tests to give me the output on these! I want to test out the 10000k Reeflux bulbs but these bulbs are so nice in that I don't need actinic lighting that I really don't want to go there.
