Sorry to knock it down.. but I've gotta drop out. My work schedule is so tight I'd only make it for the last 1/2 hour of the event and it's not worth it to drive all that way to just to turn around. Sorry guys. I sent e-mails and cancelled my trades.

I am officially done. I am not willing to fight or argue any longer. It is in my best interest to move on. I hope this does not affect anyone elses decisions. I have a lot going on with school and at home so I must back out while I can. I am still going to attend the swap, but I must re-evaluate my situations and priorities. As for now I will take a back seat. I will still be on the nomination committiee, but I am pulling out of the race for BOD.

I will update that soon, I am working on some funding for research in the pacific at the moment. I will be attending the swap, I just was not planning on running for the election at the present. I don't really want to pull out as I have been getting a lot of feedback from others in the club that still want me to run. I have made a decision to pull out and many are trying to sway me the other way, so at this point I am not sure what I want to do. I do know I do not want to let my friends, family, and colleagues down. I still have a great interest in the club, but I am no longer willing to fight or spit on anyone. I was just trying to punt. LOL I have a deep passion for reefkeeping which has led me in the direction of coral research which I am currently working on in school. I have done some preliminary data collection and now am going to work on funding for field work and testing. I also have a few little fish related projects going on here at home. Filtration, breeding fw and sw fish, and a few other things in the works too. I do have my plate full, I just want to benefit this club and this hobby in the best way I know how at this point. I should be posting some information about my research and projects as soon as I have time and I hope that it will be soon. Thanks for the interests and questions about my decison. I only hope most people don't see it as me quitting, I am not a quiter, I am just focusing on things that I think can make the most impact on the hobby and benefit all.

Hi all,
I am thinking of attending the Reefnest Mega frag swap.........If I can swing the timeframe. How do I go about signing up or finding out more about it. I just moved into the area.........around Bucknell........Lewisburg. How far is the swap from Lewisburg?
I dont have any Frags to swap yet........as I just moved in and the new tank is still "growing". Will there be any frags to purchase? Is this a dry good swap too?
Sorry for all the questions.........just new to the area and still trying to "find my way". I know the way to TFP already!!!

You can sign up on fragswapper.com and it will ask you how many people are attending and confirm your attendance. Yes Frags will be available to trade/sell. You can browse fragswapper for frags that are listed and available for trade. Mapquest says that Lewisburg is about 30min drive to Williamsport. Not sure on your location. The address of the swap is also on fragswapper. There is a few listings of drygoods available too, just check it out, if you are looking for something just ask one of the attending hobbyists if they may have what you are looking for, most of us have lots of stuff laying around. You will have to take 15 North From Lewisburg area to Williamsport. Keep going on 15 and cross the bridge and take first right at the traffice light (Third Street) ..
Go about .2 of a mile and turn left into Basin Street. At the stop sign you will see a barber across the street and the street next to it is Franklin and you want to take that. Pass the traffic light and then you will see Hughes (take right). Benjies will be on your right hand across the school.
You don't have to have frags to come and there will be plenty of them at the meeting. You can go to fragswapper.com and pre buy some if you want but there will be people with frags there. You will get a chance to meet reefers from your area too. If you want to come over on Tuesday night the few of us will be there. Thanks for the warm welcome! I just pre-regestered through fragswapper. I am pretty sure I can make it for at least a few hrs. I am pretty close...........thanks for the quick directions Mo!
I was going through some of the pre trade/buy offerings...........wow.........is all I will have to say. I didnt think this area had many reefers. Guess I will have to bring my cooler and some $$$! Looks like it will be a pretty big event, judging from the pre-registered numbers.
This area has been a little tough to find any LFS besides taking the drive down to TFP. Millers Reef is good too.
Anyway..........thanks for the help/welcome/invite. Hope to meet you all at the swap.
Now, I am back to checking the outcome of the "thread of the month poll" ! Its a long shot...........
