Reefoctopus - Module Eco / Eco ?

Kharn

MANTISMAN
Hello

I have recently setup a 48x18x18inc marine tank it is quite basic at the moment and I kind of want to keep it that way, it is only going to stock 1 or 2 stomatopods along with a clean up crew and some hardy/easy to keep corals nothing over the top.

Rite now its stocked with Live Rock and has a Fluval Fx5 running on it in the Fx5 is Seachem Matrix and Coarse crushed coral bone (1-2inch long ea), I do not want to add a sump to this tank even though I am fully aware of its benefits, I actually have plans in the future to turn this current 48x18x18 into a sump for a larger tank, besides that.

I have seen 2 things online that have caught my eyes the "Reefoctopus Module Eco" & the "Reefoctopus Eco".

Module Eco

I guess I'm wondering if anyone has ever used either of these ?

The Eco is basic...I am more questioning the "efficiency" of the Skimmer in the HOB module, since I don't have a skimmer at the moment.

EDIT: I would also love to hear about any other HOB type filters/refugs that people have had before Or if this has been braught up before can you please redirect me to the thread.

Cheers
