hi roger -

i just got a couple new reefpacks from Marine Depot today... one is fine.

but the super glue holding the nanocleaner to the magnet has separated on the other.

can i use "gorilla glue" to repair it myself? i have no idea if it's reef safe.

No, I can either repair it for you, replace it or send you the proper glue. It is a plastic solvent type glue. This happens when they don't wipe down the plastic with alcohol properly. When the plastic is molded it gets a wax film and this has to wiped off for the glue to properly dissolve the plastic and weld the two pieces together. It is a relatively simple fix.

richard - if you're comfortable sending me a unit, that would be most appreciated since my tank is now running without a skimmer or filter -- i sold the previous Reefpack 500 since it was too large for the 29g.

btw - this unit looks to have a weird crease in the plastic body of the skimmer as well. (the other reefpack 200 i got looks fine.)

how can we proceed quickly? i'm concerned about the tank as it is fully stocked.

Tony, it's Roger actually.

PM me your shipping info, I can ship Monday and include a return label. Unfortunately I am out of Reefpack 200, more arrived today but they still need to be unpacked. The crease is not that uncommon, I am not exactly sure what causes it and asked the factory to look into it, it happens on stand alone 9002 skimmers as well so it is not packaging that does it.
