ReefStock 09

Post your best deals, I personally picked up a very nice piece of african blue xenia for $20 from Jon with Dons. After the show, I made a trip up to there store and picked up another 4 frags. :D Also found a very nice maxima clam from aquamarts display. Must say, this was a heck of a presentation. I was amazed when I first got there and it was wall to wall people. Hopefully the stores made a decent profit, and everyone went home with a good frag!

Well, like I said... $300 later and it was the thoughts on the drive home, "why did I spend that much??" there was a lot to choose from. I got my best deals from Josh gonzoscoralfrags (like always) But I also got some great recordea's from the guy next to him (if anyone knows who he is let me know because I would like to get with him for some more), I didn't stick around long enough for the grand prize for the drawings though. I wonder who won it.

that was milehighaquatics, check out his site at coraljunkie.com and he is based out of parker. And it is nice to see a fellow Air Force reefer. I am out at Buckley, so if you ever need anything from denver area let me know.

I didnt stick around for the grand prize raffle, did anyone from here win it? Or did anyone win anything good?

Same girl from Reefstock 08 won the grand prize, again. Now she has bookend Solana tanks. She does live up in your end of the state.

It was a great turn out and the speakers were top notch. Thanks to all who attended, coordinated, presented, sold and just generally were there.

Man that's cool, I may have to take you up on your offer some time, Thanks for the info on the recordea, i'm gonna check out their site.

I got a cool yellow ric from the guy with all the ric's, and I got a couple shrooms from someone else.

Maybe I'm just cheap, but I didn't see much in the way of screaming deals.

I won a MJ 1200 in that last one that was for the vortech.

I can't believe the same person won that thing again.

All in all it was a good show.

same lady who one it last year she and her freind bought 100s dollars worth of tickets
I guess you have to pay to play:D

i got lucky and didn't spend too much but I did get 4 pieces that are very nice. Also had a chance to talk with some vendors and such for future stuff. Veery good show and a great venue for it.

BTW, I don't know if it's the growing up in california or the fact that we are so far inland, but I wasn't impressed with the aquarium. I think it was overpriced for what it was, maybe $5 would've been more adequate for admission.

If you think it's overpriced now you woulda dropped a load in your pants when it was Ocean Journey. I think it was just about $20 back then. I don't think it's overpriced at all actually. I think it's great for what it is, and knowing how expensive a hobby this is....imagine how much it costs to run an aquarium of that size.

I agree, I am originally from Chicago, so I am used to the Shedd Aquarium. If you are ever in Chicago, be sure to take the day and go to the Shedd. It will take hours and hours to walk though it, I can rip through the Aquarium in Denver in about 45 minutes. None the less, I still like going there.

On the subject of Reefstock, I had an awesome time. I won The RO/Di unit in the first raffle, I won a full set of the Aquavitro supplements, some of the Reefnutrition stuff, and some GAC. Got some cool frags, and I thought the speakers were cool to listen too. All in all I personally had a great time. Thanks to everyone who was involved and put this together.

Great job!!

I wasn't that impresed by the whole event, way too crowded, not enough vendors and livestock quality average at best. I'm not trying to start an argument but I expected something more. Granted, I did not stay long enough to give an overall impression, but early was not that great.

Well everyone is certainly entitled to their own opinion so i can respect yours, however I have travveled around the USA to a lot of shows, probably 10-15 times the last year or 2 and I have to say I found plenty of good corals, the prices were very good and the crowds are something every good show has.
I'm not sure what shows you've attended that were better? I think this is by far the best Colorado show I've ever been to.

I didn't see you at the show, you should have stopped by my booth!
BTW How are those montis doing? I have been collecting a few nice pieces lately, maybe you'll have to come down one day and look through my frag system and see what LE stuff I have, I'll hook you up with good prices to make it worth your time ok?

Chris
