I do need to update this thread too.

Just so everyone is aware, I tried an algae reactor for a month, the tank really tanked, pun intended, so now I'm trying no filter socks and moderate nutrients. Amino acid dosing, more feeding, no carbon or nopox. At least ca and alk are rock solid now.
