I hear ya. I had a chance to buy a house for 200k in the early 90's and just barely couldn't swing it (i was just starting out, salary was less). The same house now goes for 700k, insane.

You're fortunate that you can get under the floor at all, i couldn't do that. Plus, my wood is warped and soft from 25 years of moisture and i'd have to add some sort of metal support underneath.

Smart man. I bought a house around 200k back in the day in Toronto Canada and I ended up living paycheck to paycheck for 15 years. Sure I sold it at a profit but honestly I probably would've made that amount if I would've had a better job and been able to save.

If you aim to put the tank there against that exterior wall with the studs resting on the foundation wall then you are good to go load wise. No need for additional jacks. I would be more concerned about ensuring that the existing plank subfloor is level.

For an ATS check out 302 aquatics. Decently priced and quality products. Few of them in my local group and I have been impressed with them.

All I know is you need to hurry and upgrade as I have some corals to send your way as I have had some serious growth since switching to calrx...

Aaaaannnd due to moving, this thread came to an abrupt end.

I'm fighting to save the fish and some hardier LPS, but every SPS is stark white, and if the SPS are gone, lord knows I don't want to save the zoanthids, so I'll just do a bleach then muriatic acid bath, then dechlorinate for a while, and will start with a new bigger better tank. It's been fun.

WOW that is quite a jump. Even with the sand bed releasing gunk I would not have expect that sort of a jump...

Hey Howard, thanks for checking in.

The fishes are doing just fine, and even one coral survived! I'm working on breaking down the cube this week and am debating whether to keep it as a QT tank before or after TTM, or just sell it off to someone looking for a ready-to-roll nano SPS setup.
