I received both orders last Friday around 8:30 am. Everything was extra well packaged.
I have the following problems:
1. The halimeda was all shriveled up when it arrived . I was hoping it might recover but am not sure that it will.
2. The flame aclimated just fine and was eating within a few minutes of being released into the tank. Woke up this morning and found the flame dead. Died either Late Tuesday night or early Wednesday morning).
3. The corals are doing just fine and are growing and expanding. However, it should be noted that two of them arrived unattached to any gravel or rubble and they were supposed to be all attached.
My tank statistics and parameters are as follows:
0-- Ammonia
0-- Nitrite
0--Nitrate
0-- Phosphate
1.025--Specific Gravity (34 ppt)
8dkh--Alkalinity
460--Calcium
78.4F--Temperature
8.0--pH
All tests completed with API tests. Specific Gravity completed with hygrometer which has been confirmed with an refractometer. Temp measured with Digital thermometer.
My tank is a 97 gallon custom built tank. I have 79 lbs of live rock and 80 lbs of aragonite sand with a 4 inch plenum.
Other tank residents which are doing fine:
6 peppermint shrimp
1 Fire shrimp
6 hermits
2 baby maroons (about 8 mo old)
21 snails
