Reflector color, what color is better?

Does a white reflector abosorb ceratin spectrums of the light that should be going into the tank, or does it absorb some that should not be going into the tank...or should I use a polished aluminum reflector, that will direct most of the light into the tank? Has anybody studied this?

I wonder if white were to reflect a certan color more, or does the polished aluminum reflect colors better? This is a question for Sanjay.

In pigment, white is the absense of all color. It reflects all the light.

Light is the opposite. White light is all colors mixed together.

White relfector= all colors reflected
