reflector mounting

what is the best way to mount a reflector into a canopy. I will be getting a lumenarc stealth and mounting it in the center of a 12" tall canopy. Can I just mount it directly flat up against the inside of the canopy, or do i need to hang it? Basically, does it get to hot to mount flush against a wooden canopy? lumenarc stealth 250w hqi in a birch canopy. Thanks

I have 3 175w halides mounted right to the canopy. But I also have 2 cooling fans in there.

I dont think it would get to hot being mounted right against the wood, mione are this way, are you putting in any ventilation, I do have 2 fans in mine.
