Refractometer Broken?

My refractometer has seemed to stop working and I am not sure why. When I checked a batch of salt I made today it was less than zero. I thought OK I need to recalibrate it. I put in some RO and started to turn the screw. Nothing happened. The line did not move at all. Is there some thing else I need to do? It is the $39 from Dr. Fosters and smith if that helps.

Sounds broken to me. However, I'm no expert. He is the best little bit of helpful info I could find, hope it helps.
