Refractometer

Well, My Refractometer arrived today. Went to calibrate it and it was Pre Calibrated correctly.

I have been targeting 1.024 for our 2 reefs since day 1 with the old/used hydrometer. Turns out my fish and inverts have been living in 1.030 since the first day. Poor guys. Time to drain some tank water and replace with unsalted. :eek2:

You may wanna do that in stages ReefNeck. If they've been in it for a while it may shock them.

Agreed! I'll drop it a little every couple of days at most. Sure don't want to stress or lose anyone in there.

I would have thought the same thing though at least initially. After I had 15 gallons of water out I would've thought oh sh#$, I can do this all at once. LOL
